| FAIR ELECTIONS WHEREAS, computer technology is increasingly used to facilitate the casting and counting of votes in North Dakota; and WHEREAS, the programs for this technology is in the hands of private corporations, often from outside the state of North Dakota; and WHEREAS, serious questions of the accuracy of such counting have been raised in several states in recent years; and WHEREAS, any error in programming could go undetected; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that South Central Citizens Coalition (SC3) support legislation to require voter-verified paper ballots or verifiable paper evidence for all elections. |
